Masterclass Magic with OS Hockey Maestro Will Steward (WH, RH, 17–25)
This week we were delighted to welcome Will back to the College for a high‑energy hockey - training session and masterclass on the top astro with Bash and Mr Bendin - inspiring the next generation of College hockey stars.
Although Will started senior school as a keen footballer, everything changed in U5th when his hockey coach encouraged him to fully commit to the sport… and he never looked back, captaining the 3s in U6th. Will led a team that went unbeaten throughout the season.
A true all‑rounder, Will also represented the College in cricket and 1st XV Rugby - a sportsman through and through.
A highlight of his visit? Being inaugurated into the legendary 3s & 4s Hall of Fame, and being affectionately dubbed “the Rolls Royce of College Hockey.” The boys even gifted him a toy Rolls Royce with a personalised number plate - a mascot he proudly takes back with him to Northumbria University where he studies Sports Management. Proudly presented by team social secretary Josh G.
We’re excited to see Will join future OS sporting teams and officially welcome him into the ranks of our sporting Old Stortfordians.
Huge thanks, Will - your talent, energy and generosity in returning to coach mean so much to our pupils and our community.
