Sun, Sportsmanship & Standout Play at annual OS vs College Staff Golf Tournament
The annual OS vs College Staff Golf Tournament returned in spectacular fashion on the hottest day of the year so far, bringing together players from across the community for a day of friendly rivalry, impressive golf and unforgettable summer heat. Hosted at the stunning East Herts Golf Club, the event unfolded against a backdrop of immaculate fairways, bright blue skies and temperatures that sizzled from the first tee to the final putt.
This year’s tournament saw the OS Golf Society and College Staff (past and present) field strong line-ups, with both sides showcasing a blend of experience, flair and competitive spirit. Despite the rising heat, spirits and effort remained impressively high throughout the day
The atmosphere remained warm in every sense. competitive but always good‑natured, with plenty of laughter shared between shots and a strong sense of camaraderie that has become a hallmark of this fixture.

A Venue That Shines
East Herts Golf Club proved to be the perfect host. The course was in exceptional condition, offering a fair but challenging test for all players. Its picturesque setting and welcoming atmosphere added to the sense of occasion, and many participants commented on how much they enjoyed playing such a beautifully maintained course in peak summer weather.
Looking Ahead
With another successful tournament now in the books, both teams are already looking forward to next year’s rematch. If the quality of play and the spirit of this year’s event are anything to go by, the rivalry will continue to grow — as will the friendships forged on the fairways.
