Hong Kong, 3 March: The Stortfordian Community brought its global family a little closer this month, hosting a warm and vibrant alumni networking evening in the heart of Hong Kong. Led by Emily Oxley, Head of Admissions, the gathering celebrated the achievements, ambition, and enduring connections of former students now forging impressive careers across Asia.
“It was a genuine pleasure to host an informal networking evening for our alumni,” Emily shared after the event. “What a remarkable group of young professionals. They truly embodied the core values of our College - Belonging, Scholarship, and Character - in every conversation and interaction.”
And remarkable they were. The room buzzed with energy as graduates from some of the world’s most prestigious institutions reconnected with old friends and formed new professional ties. OS representing Oxford, Durham, Bath, Warwick, leading Hong Kong universities, and top mainland Chinese institutions reflected the global reach of a Bishop’s Stortford College education.
Their career paths were as diverse as they were impressive - law, architecture, fashion design, accountancy, civil service, and more. Each attendee brought a story of growth and determination, demonstrating how their time at the College continues to shape their personal and professional journeys.
Emily noted how inspiring it was to hear how these young professionals are making meaningful contributions in their fields while maintaining a strong sense of connection to their roots. “These talented individuals are wonderful representatives of the kind of young people we have the privilege to educate and support.”
The evening closed with heartfelt thanks to all who attended and a shared hope for more opportunities to gather, collaborate, and celebrate the enduring Stortfordian spirit.
Here’s to many more reunions - and to the global community that continues to thrive long after graduation.
