OS Rugby bonds run deep - even when the scoreboard doesn’t agree
Earlier this month, Jayden Roy (GH, RH, 17–25) and Oliver Sisterson (GH, RPH, 13–24) found themselves on opposite sides of a BUCS Men’s Western Tier 2 clash.
Jayden ran out for the University of Exeter 6th XV (the Fresher’s 3rd team), while Oliver lined up for the Exeter 7th XV, better known as the BaaBaas.
In a fiercely contested match, the BaaBaas edged it 41–36 – but in the following week, the rivalry was set aside as the pair reunited on the same side to take on the University of Bristol’s 3rd XV in the final stretch of the league season.
Enjoy the photo they grabbed after the match and how it echoes the 2023 OS Leavers vs Remainers fixture. Not to mention, these two shared the pitch long before university rugby, playing together for the BSRFC Colts (U18s).
A partnership that just refuses to fade… and one we’ll be seeing again soon. The OS Rugby fixture returns this autumn - and they’re ready to run out together once more.
