Calling on the Stortfordian network – seeking professional connections in Spain!
Hoping the power of our community can help support OS Thea Came (PP, MJH, AH, 12–24) as she searches for an exciting opportunity in Spain for the 2026–27 academic year.
Thea is currently in her second year at Durham University, studying History and Spanish. As part of her degree, she’ll be spending the next academic year abroad. She had originally applied to the British Council English Language Assistants Programme, but with ongoing uncertainty around placements in Spain, she is now exploring alternative routes.
What she’s looking for:
🇪🇸 A role based in Spain
🗣️ A Spanish‑speaking environment to develop fluency
💼 Professional experience - internships, cultural organisations, museums, NGOs, education, heritage, or similar sectors
✨ A chance to contribute, learn, and grow
Thea is diligent, hardworking, bright, and exactly the kind of young Old Stortfordian worth championing.
🔗 Can you - or someone in your network - help forge some Spanish connections?
Introductions, advice, leads, or even a quick conversation would make a huge difference - Thea would be delighted to hear from anyone via LinkedIN who might be able to help her achieve her placement goal!
