Celebrate Peter Griffin’s Remarkable 22 Years of House Leadership

After an extraordinary 22 years as Housemaster of Collett, School and Rowe Houses, Peter Griffin will be stepping down at the end of the spring term to focus on his teaching of Innovation, Design and Engineering. His dedication, leadership and genuine care have shaped the lives of generations of boys, and we invite you to join us in celebrating this exceptional legacy.

To mark Mr Griffin's remarkable contribution, the wider Collett, School and Rowe communities from across his tenure — including partners and families — are warmly welcomed to a Rowe Open House on Saturday 18 April.

This relaxed and joyful gathering also offers an early opportunity to celebrate 10 years of Rowe House, and sits alongside two major reunions taking place on the same day: the OS Benson 25th Anniversary and Hayward 70th Anniversary events.

Guests will enjoy:

• A wonderful chance to reconnect, reminisce, and toast Mr Griffin’s outstanding leadership
• Tours of Rowe House and School House, revisiting familiar spaces and sharing memories
• A delicious lunch with fellow Bensonites and Haywardians

Hard‑copy invitations will be posted to those we cannot reach by email, but please do spread the word - we hope as many of your House contemporaries as possible can join us for this special occasion.

This event is free to attend, but advance registration is required for all guests.

OS Reunion Format

We are delighted to announce the evolution of our reunion programme, now centred on the heart of Old Stortfordian life - the senior school houses. Learning from recent OS events and recognising that the strongest OS affinity lies within the house system, these reunions will honour shared heritage, deepen connections, and celebrate the enduring pastoral legacy of the College.

How It Works

House-Based Gatherings: Each reunion will focus on individual houses, giving OS and staff across the generations the chance to reconnect with the community they know best.

• Simultaneous Celebrations: 2–3 houses will host separate reunions on the same day, with all guests joining together for a convivial lunch.
• Special Anniversaries: Where possible, reunions will coincide with significant house milestones.

The inaugural events will take place on 18 April 2026, marking three remarkable anniversaries 
(in some instances academic year of specific anniversaries) :
